Mary B. Maffit

Mary B. Maffit, 83 of Littleton, CO formerly of Sioux City and Hinton passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2010 at a nursing home in Littleton, CO. Funeral services for Mary will be on Friday, January 30, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. with family present from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Graceland Park Cemetery.

Mary was born on September 8, 1926 in Milbank, SD to John C. and Pearl (Topping) Rosecrans. She was united in marriage to Erwin W. Maffit on July 4, 1985 in Sioux City; he preceded her in death in June of 2005. She was a long time employee with Swift Produce. Mary enjoyed spending time with her family, and she was active in social programs with the United Methodist Womens Group in Hinton.

Mary is survived by 2 sons John Mallett of South Sioux City, NE; Jim Bobier of Hutchinson, MN; 2 daughters Joanne (Steve) Heckman of Greeley, CO; and Janet Lane (John) Penaligon of Littleton, CO; 12 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and several stepchildren.
