Dorothy Ann Lundgren, 80, of Sioux City died Friday, Feb. 16, 2007, at Holy Spirit Retirement Home.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Tess Panamarow officiating. Graveside services will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Dorothy was born May 23, 1926, in Sioux City, the daughter of Lawrence and Mary (Crowley) Corkery. She graduated from Cathedral High School.
She married Donald Lyle Lundgren on Oct. 10, 1949, at St. Boniface Church in Sioux City. He preceded her in death on April 1, 1983, in Sioux City. She was a lifetime resident of Sioux City. Dorothy was a receptionist at Martin's Motel before her marriage. She was also employed by Old Home Bakery and Zenith Radio.
She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church. Dorothy enjoyed baking, crocheting and listening to country western music.
Survivors include four sons, Wayne (Suzanne) Lundgren of Sioux City, Mark Lundgren of Sioux City, Thomas Lundgren of South Sioux City, and Brian Lundgren of Sioux City; two daughters, Mary Habben and Susie Hoffman, both of Sioux City; a brother, Joseph "Bud" Corkery of Sioux City; 10 grandchildren, Bobby Jo Myers, Toni Habben, Buddy Wetrosky, Jackie Wetrosky, Alexandra Lundgren, Chad Wendte, Jeremy Wendte, Corey Hoffman, Derek Hoffman and Stacey Hoffman; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald; a daughter, Rita Wendte; a sister, Mary Patricia Greene; and a grandson, Curt Hoffman.
