Gregorio Lozano, 63, of Sioux City died Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2007, at his residence.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Cathedral of the Epiphany, with the Rev. LeRoy Seuntjens officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. and a rosary and vigil service at 7 p.m., at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Mr. Lozano was born May 9, 1944, in San Julian, Jalisco, Mexico, the son of Ramon and Fidencia (Vallecillo) Lozano. He attended school in Mexico as a child.
He married Paula Vazquez on April 17, 1971, in San Julian, Mexico. He was employed with IBP until 2000, when he had to quit do to health problems.
In his free time, he loved to oil paint, music and travel. He was a member of Cathedral of the Epiphany.
Survivors include his wife, Paula; two sons, Gregorio and Javier Lozano, both of Sioux City; four daughters and husbands, Maria and Juan Ruelas, Edith and Jesus Azpeitia, Imelda and Alonso Garcia and Noemi Lozano; three brothers; four sisters; and five grandchildren, Alexander Azpeitia, Mario Ruelas, Iliana Azpeitia, Carlos Ruelas and Jared Garcia.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
Pallbearers will be his family and friends.
