Harry W. Krohn, Jr.

Harry W. Krohn Jr. of Sioux City died Wednesday, June 21, 2006, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Morningside Assembly of God Church, with the Rev. Tom Jacobs officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Harry was born Sept. 16, 1923, in Sioux City, the son of Harry W. and Dora (Doud) Krohn Sr. He graduated from Central High School.

He married Donna Clark on Dec. 2, 1942, in South Sioux City. He worked for Sears as a salesman for 38 years.

He was a member of Morningside Assembly of God Church. He served as the president of the Full Gospel Businessman's Fellowship International Organization. He was very involved with his church, being active in Out Reach Ministry and was a member of one of the founding families of the church.

Survivors include his wife, Donna Krohn of Sioux City; a daughter, Carolyn Schultz of Sioux City; a son and his wife, Dave and Shelly Krohn of Sioux City; six grandchildren, Jeffrey, Clifford and Jonathon Schultz and Christopher, Nathan and Kayla Krohn; and nine grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Bethel, Mildred and Mavis; a brother, John; and a nephew, Bob Krohn.
