Larry A. Krause

HINTON, Iowa -- Larry A. Krause, 72, of Watertown, Wis., formerly of Hinton, passed away on Sunday, March 7, 2010, at Golden Living Center.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at Trinity Lutheran Church in rural Hinton, with the Rev. Steven Stoll officiating. Burial will follow in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, where Larry will lay in rest close to his parents. Visitation with family present will be one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church. Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 605 South Fourth Street in Watertown, Wis., with the Rev. Paul Kuckhahn officiating. Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel in Sioux City is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be offered at meyerbroschapels.com.

Larry was born on Dec. 17, 1937, in rural Plymouth County, Iowa, to Albert and Anna (Peters) Krause. He was raised in rural Hinton and moved to Wisconsin in the late 1960s. Larry worked for A-Z Farm Center of Watertown, a feed mill, until his health forced his early retirement and his move to Mueller Apartments.

He volunteered in the nursing side of Mueller Apartments, taking clients to church. Larry enjoyed making rugs, plastic canvases, and loved the Riverfest and attending parades in Watertown. Larry was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Watertown.

Larry is survived by his close companion, Kathleen Larsen of Watertown; nieces, Connie Wahlstrom and her husband, James and Sandra Muecke, all of Hinton; grandnephews and grandniece, John Visvikis, Jason Visvikis, Angie Snoozy, and Cody Muecke.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents; infant brothers, Harold and Robert Krause; and brother, Richard Krause.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 605 South Fourth Street, Watertown, WI. 53094, in Larry's name.
