SIOUX CITY -- Jane Kae Knudsen, 79, of Sioux City passed away Sunday, Nov. 8, 2009, at Sunrise Retirement Community.
Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Merrill Muller officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. A luncheon will follow the graveside service at South Sioux City Eagles Club. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the funeral home.
Kae was born Aug. 30, 1930, in Jamaica, Iowa, to Ivan and Anna (Kahoe) Kinney. She was raised in Jefferson, Iowa, and moved to Sioux City in August 1971.
She married John Knudsen on Oct. 14, 1972, in Sioux City. John passed away Jan. 28, 2002, in Sioux City.
She was a member of the South Sioux City Eagles Club.
She is survived by two daughters, Janet and her husband, Ray Ramirez of Sioux City and Mary and her husband, Gene Roeber of Emerson, Neb.; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a daughter, Jane Anderson.
Pallbearers will be Tony Pille, Todd Pille, Chad Anderson, Bob Talley, Bill Kai and Chuck Powell.
