Marian Inez (Francis) Kinzey, 86, of Sioux City passed away Monday, Aug. 11, 2008, at the Hospice Unit of Indian Hills Nursing and Rehab.
The body was cremated. Family memorial services will be held at a later date in Portland, Ore. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel. Marian was born to Edna and Ira Francis on Dec. 12, 1921. She was born and raised in Woodbury County, Iowa. She graduated from East High School.
On march 24, 1939, she married Bernard Kinzey. They raised their five children in Kingsley, Iowa, where she kept the books for their Mobil Oil business. In addition to being a full-time homemaker, she decorated cakes for people and taught ceramics at her residence. Bernard died in August 1969.
She later married James Kammerer. Following his death, she married Garland Robbins, who also preceded her in death. She continued to live in Kingsley until 2000, when she moved to Sioux City.
Survivors include three daughters and their husbands, Gloria and Wayne Plendl of Kingsley, Dian and Jack Norby of Portland, Ore., and Denise and Dave Eckermand of Richfield, Minn.; two sons and their wives, Brian and Bobbi Kinzey of Springfield, Ill., and Joe and Jackie Kinzey of Sioux City; a brother and his wife, Joe and Eleanor Francis of Wheaton, Ill.; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her three husbands; her parents; and five sisters.
Marian wanted many memorials sent to the Little People of America.
