Renee Keleher, 52, of Sioux City died Sunday, Dec. 31, 2006, at a Sioux City hospital following a brief battle with cancer.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Gordon Quit officiating. Private family graveside services will be at a later date in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. and a prayer service at 6:30 p.m., at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent online to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Renee was born April 17, 1954, in Sioux City, the daughter of James and Dorothy (Jones) Carlberg. She attended Central High School.

She married James Ringler in 1971. To this union two children were born. She later married Steve Keleher on March 27, 1993, in Las Vegas, Nev. Steve passed away April 1, 1997, in Sioux City. She was an assistant manager for 21 years at Hardee's.

She loved to fish, camp and play cards. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her father, James Carlberg of Sioux City; her mother-in-law, Lavonne (Ron Sr.) Keleher; a son and his significant other, James Ringler and Stacey Streeter of Sioux City; a daughter, Melissa Ringler of Sioux City; two stepsons, AJ and Steven Keleher Jr., both of Salix, Iowa; a stepdaughter, Stephanie Keleher of Elko, Neb.; two brothers, Alfred "Jim" (Dorothy) Carlberg and Mike Carlberg, all of Sioux City; her special friend, Jeff Jasman; four grandchildren, Jaryn, Anthony, Thomas and Elizabeth; her best friend, Kay Wieck and her family; and many other family and friends.
