Suzanne K. Iverson, 67, of Sioux City passed away unexpectedly Saturday, June 23, 2007, at a Sioux City hospital.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Matthew Miller officiating. Burial will be in Pipestone Cemetery at Pipestone, Minn. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m., at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Suzanne was born May 9, 1940, in Pipestone, Minn., to Clarence L. and Effie (Evans) Sorenson. She attended East High School and Humboldt Institute in Minneapolis, Minn. Suzanne worked for Toy Bank for eight years before becoming a secretary for the Department of Human Services for 32 years until her retirement.
She was a member and deacon of First Presbyterian Church. She was also very active in the Red Hat Society and P.E.O.
Survivors include a daughter, Kim and her husband, Mark Olsen of Sioux City; a granddaughter, Katie Olsen of Sioux City; a brother, Steve and his wife, Carol Sorenson; a nephew, Michael Sorenson of Sioux City; and a niece, Kami and her husband, Chris Olthoff of Iowa City, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant brother, David Sorenson; and two infant sisters, Peggy and Penny Sorenson.
