SERGEANT BLUFF -- Betty J. Inlay, 81, of Sergeant Bluff passed away Sunday, Nov. 7, 2010, at a local nursing home.
Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel, with the Rev. Richard Inlay officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Park Cemetery.
Betty the daughter of John and Christina (Schmidt) Peters was born on Dec. 11, 1928, in Anthon, Iowa. She received her education in the Anthon schools. Betty married Emmett Inlay on April 13, 1945 in Sioux City.
She enjoyed fishing, camping, crocheting, and boating. Betty's pride and joy was her family. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Betty is survived by two sons, Gary (Aneta) Inlay of Dayton, Ohio, and Richard (Martine) Inlay of Sierra Vista, Ariz.; two daughters, Roberta Holloway of South Sioux City, and Marlene (Don) Waldman of South Sioux City; one brother, Elmer (Bernice) Peters of Rembrandt, Iowa; special friend, Bob Cline of Sioux City; 11 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Emmett; and four sisters, Francis, Lillian, Dorothy, and Margie.
Honorary pallbearers will be Douglas Inlay, Jeff Waldman, Jim Holloway, Jr., Ricky Inlay, and Tim Inlay.
