Bailey was born Feb. 10, 2007, at the Methodist Hospital in Omaha. In her very short life, she has a huge impact on many people. In the 12 weeks of life, she underwent three major surgeries. Even though many never met her, she inspired and will continue to inspire, others to persevere.
We are very grateful for the time we were able to spend with her. In her last day of Earthly life, she was paid a huge tribute by the number of nurses and doctors that wanted to share a last hello with her. We have made new friendships and strengthened many others. Our family is grateful for the love and prayers of many people.
She is survived by her parents, Dewey and Heather of Sioux City; her sister, Mackenzie of Sioux City; her brother, Korver of Sioux City; great-grandparents, Fred and Jackie White of Sioux City, Richard and Donna Boutch of Sioux City, Grace Miller of Sioux City and Carolyn Sue Miller of Sioux City; grandparents, Dennis and Colleen White of Sioux City and Leo and Katherine Hupke of Cherokee, Iowa; aunts and uncles, Chloe and Keith Burke of Sioux City, Benjamin Hupke of Waverly, Iowa, Chris and Wendy Hupke of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Amy and Mark Brighton of Hinton, Iowa; cousins, Kailey, Spencer, Kelsey, Liz, Erica, Jake, Cole, Kyle and Laura; many great-aunts and great-uncles; and a very special friend to the family, Colleen Korver-Rieker.
