Joseph "Frank" Hollinger Jr., 67, of Sioux City died unexpectedly Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2006, at a Sioux City hospital.
Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Dr. Floyd Brown officiating. Visitation with the family present will be one hour prior to the service Friday at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent online to www.meyerbroschapels.com.
Joseph was born May 28, 1939, in Nebraska, the son of Joseph and Florence (Fowler) Hollinger. He was a lifetime resident of Sioux City. He served in the U.S. Army.
He married Doris Grage on July 15, 1967. They later divorced in 2002. He later married Gaetana Walker on Feb. 13, 2003, in Elk Point, S.D. He worked for the railroad, was a truck driver and worked in the deliver refusal at Gateway until 2001.
He enjoyed fishing and camping. He was a craftsman.
Survivors include his wife, Gaetana Hollinger of Sioux City; his children, Joseph "Joe" Hollinger III and his significant other, Tracy, Tammy Hollinger, Darwyn Hollinger and his significant other, Sarah and Shakemea Hollinger, all of Sioux City; his grandchildren, Theresa, Jared, Michael, Ethan and Erick; and his ex-wife, Doris Hollinger of Sioux City.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
