Earl J. Hebert, 79, of Sioux City, passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2006 in Sioux City. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 24, 2006 from 3-8 p.m. with the family present from 6-8 p.m. a prayer service will then begin at 7:00 p.m. at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 25, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel with Reverend Dwight Gernand officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Earl was born on February 15, 1927 to Steve and Caroline (Cyr) Hebert in Jefferson, South Dakota. He grew up and attended school in Jefferson. In June on 1945, he entered the U.S. Army. After he was honorably discharge he moved to Sioux City where he began working at Armours Packing Plant, he later worked at Swift where he retired when the plant closed. Earl married June Anderson on July 15, 1959 in Arnolds Park, Iowa. Earl enjoyed fishing and watching sports especially the Iowa Hawkeyes, Minnesota Vikings and the Twins.

Earl is survived by his wife, June of Sioux City. He was also a Father and Dad to his 5 children, Gloria McCrystal and her husband James of Sioux City, Dennis Hebert and his wife JoEllen of Sioux City, Pam White and her husband Doug of Yuma, Arizona, Debbie Santi of Sioux City, and Lynette Blanchard and her husband Gary of Hinton, Iowa. 13 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 1 brother, Edwin Hebert and his wife Gina of California and 1 sister, Dorothy Limoges of Sioux City, several nieces and nephews and cousins.

Earl was preceded in death by his parents and 8 siblings.
