Elizabeth (Beth) Hatfield,91, of Sioux City died Tuesday, August 21, 2007 at Indian Hills Nursing Home. Graveside services will be Friday, August 24th at 11:00 am in Logan Park Cemetery with burial of the cremains of Beth and her husband, Jack H. Hatfield Sr. Elizabeth Bethune Terry was born January 19, 1916 in Bethune, South Carolina, the daughter of Charles Oscar Terry and Esther (McCaskill) Terry. She attended public school in Quitman, GA and later graduated from Women's College in Valdosta, GA. She earned a teaching degree and taught school in Georgia. She married Jack H. Hatfield Sr. of Sioux City, IA, November 26, 1941 in Quitman, GA. She was a member of American Girls, PEO Chapter EY, Junior League, Questors, was Past President of PTA, and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She is survived by her son, Jack H. Hatfield Jr. and Sandra (McGinnis) of Aurora, IL and a daughter, Libby Hatfield of Sioux City. Also two grandchildren, Christopher C. Hatfield, of Aurora, IL and Jennifer Morgan Hatfield of Miami, FL. Her sister, Mrs James Fowler Hall (Kathryn) of Ft. Meyers, FL and two nephews, Dennis and Terry Groover. A sister in law, Mrs. Ruth Eveleth, Salix, IA and brother in law, Robert E. Hatfield and wife Alma of Dakota Dunes,SD and niece, Mrs. Kay Thill, of Merrill, IA. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Alzheimer's Association, Hospice or Trinity Lutheran Church.
