Mark W. Harstad

Mark W. Harstad, 60 of Sioux City passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at a Sioux City Hospital. Memorial services for Mark will be held on Friday, October 16, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. There will be no visitation. Burial of his cremains will held at a later date in the Graceland Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Mark was born on February 24, 1949 in Sioux City, Iowa to William Charles and Toni (Morrow) Harstad, Sr. He graduated from Central High School in 1967. Mark worked for several years at Gateway. He loved playing Fast Pitch Softball for Penn Corp and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also enjoyed attending North High School sporting events. His greatest love in life was being there for his nieces and nephews and spending time with his family.

Mark is survived by his mother Toni Harstad of Sioux City; 2 sisters Christine Begovich of Sacramento, CA; and Jane (Barry) Snyder of LeMars; 1 brother Bill (Joyce) Harstad, Jr. of Sioux City; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father William Harstad, Sr, and his brother Greg Harstad.
