SIOUX CITY -- Josephine M. Harrison, 91, of Sioux City passed away Sunday, Oct. 18, 2009, at Sunrise Retirement Community following a lengthy illness.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel, with the Rev. Dan Guenther officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Josephine was born Aug. 27, 1918, in St. Joseph, Mo., the daughter of Vincent and Narcissa Rodriguez. She attended Sioux City Public Schools.
She loved sports, especially watching football. She also loved youth and enjoyed visiting with young people.
Survivors include two daughters and their husbands, Mary Jean and James Botten of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Kathleen and John Lanning of Sioux City; five grandchildren, Michael and his wife, Bione Lanning, Mitchell and his wife, Debra Lanning, Mark and his wife, Lisa Lanning and Matthew Lanning, all of Sioux City and Kristen Botten of Minneapolis; nine great-grandchildren, Luke, Zach, Nicholas, Erin, Austin, Meghan, Max, Madison and Mason; and four brothers, John Rodriguez of Tacoma, Wash., Nick Rodriguez of Denver, Colo., James Rodriguez of Chandler, Ariz., and Richard Rodriguez of Des Moines.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers; and a sister.
The family would like to sincerely thank Sunrise Retirement Community for their loving care given to Josephine.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Sunrise Retirement Community.
