Yvonne L. Harris

SIOUX CITY -- Yvonne Lynn Harris, 61, of Sioux City passed away Saturday, July 11, 2009, at Hallmark Care Center in Sioux City after a brief illness.

Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Homer, Neb., with Pastor Randy Rasmussen officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel.

Yvonne was born Feb. 22, 1948, in West Point, Neb., to Clayton and Evelyn (Russman) Harris. She graduated from Homer Community School in 1966. She then went on to airline training school in Kansas City, where she graduated in 1967. Yvonne had worked at Northwest Airlines, North Central Airlines and with Hertz Rental Car. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Homer.

Survivors include her mother, Evelyn Harris of Homer; eight brothers, Alan Harris of Basalt, Colo., David Harris of Homer, Rick Harris of Homer, Greg and wife, Nancy Harris of South Sioux City, Brent and wife, Susie Harris of Omaha, Brad and wife, Brenda Harris of Malcolm, Neb., Rodney and wife, JoAnne Harris of Homer, and Kirk and wife, Kelli Harris of Sergeant Bluff; nine nieces; and eight nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father and both sets of grandparents.

Honorary pallbearers will be her eight brothers, Alan, David, Ricky, Gregory, Brent, Bradley, Rodney and Kirk.
