Nina B. Harder

January 20, 1941 — April 28, 2011

SIOUX CITY -- Nina B. Harder, 70, of Sioux City passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2011, at her residence, comforted by family.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Ralph Shorey officiating. Burial will follow in Silver Ridge Cemetery in rural Ponca, Neb. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, with the family present at 6 p.m. and a prayer service will begin at 6:30 p.m., at the funeral home.

Nina was born Jan. 20, 1941, in Monona County, Iowa, to Harold and Valeraia (Pixler) Maaske. She married Martin Harder on Nov. 11, 1961, in Elk Point, S.D.

Nina enjoyed playing bingo, dancing and spending time with her grandchildren.

Nina is survived by children, Kenneth Harder and his wife, Brenda of Sioux City, Mark Harder and his wife, Teresa of Boerne, Texas, Jeanne Delfs and her husband, Jeff of Sioux City, and Cindy Combs and her special friend, Mauricio of St. Joseph, Mo.; brothers, Kenneth (Tammy) Maaske of Sioux City, Duane (Patsy) Maaske of Sioux City, Lenard (Cookie) Maaske of Bartlett, Texas, and William (Terri) Maaske of Dakota Dunes, S.D.; son-in-law, Tim Combs of Sioux City; daughter-in-law, Denise (Jim) Bligh of Cushing, Iowa; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and her special Angel sister-in-law, Carol Maaske of Sioux City.

Nina was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Martin in 1993; son, Gary Harder; grandson, Timothy Combs; sisters, Montie Green and Kay Knudsen; and brother, Robert Maaske.

Pallbearers will be Josh Delfs, Jarett Delfs, Cody Harder, Chad Maaske, Fred Gay and Brian Harder.
