Dorothy D Hagins

SOUTH SIOUX CITY -- Dorothy Darlene Hagins, 68, of South Sioux City died Friday, Sept. 15, 2006, at a Sioux City hospital.

Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Monday at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Sioux City, with the Rev. Curt Moermond officiating. Private graveside services will be in Calvary Cemetery in Sioux City. Visitation will be two hours prior to service time Monday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Anderson-Perasso Funeral Chapel of Sioux City. Dorothy was born Jan. 20, 1938, in Webb City, Mo., the daughter of Jeremiah and Violet (Fleming) Johnson. She attended Leeds High School in Sioux City. Dorothy was a homemaker.

She was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church. Dorothy loved flowers, gardening, crafts and dancing. She also enjoyed spending time with her family.

Survivors include a son and his wife, Bob and Candyce Berens of Lino Lakes, Minn.; a daughter and her husband, Jackie and Edward Kaiser of Omaha, Neb.; a sister, Gloria Burkheimer of Clovis, Calif.; and seven grandchildren, Reid and Kelsey Berens, Jeff, Tim and Scott Fredericksen, Michael Berens and Cory Godden.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a daughter, Barbara.
