Victoria Winnelle Haefs

SIOUX CITY -- Victoria Winnelle Haefs, 82, of Sioux City died Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2009.

Victoria was born Jan. 5, 1927, in El Paso, Texas, to George and Kittie (Roberson) Henkell. She married Lloyd Haefs on Aug. 14, 1976, in Whiting, Iowa. Victoria was a homemaker.

She was treasurer for the Township of Crofton, Neb. Victoria was a terrific cook and loved antiques, gardening and traveling.

Survivors include three stepsons, Doug Haefs and his wife Robin of Seymour, Tenn., Clif Haefs and his wife Jill of Hinton, Iowa, and Phil Haefs and his wife Bonnie of Sioux City; two stepdaughters, Cathy Harsma and her husband Mike of Hinton, and Connie Haefs of Sioux City; a sister-in-law, Bonnie McEveny of San Juan Capistrano, Calif.; eight stepgrandchildren; and 13 great-stepgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.

Memorials may be directed in her name to Hospice of Siouxland.
