Marie "Char" Gordon, 57, of Sioux City passed away Saturday, Nov. 4, 2006, at her home, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her family and friends.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. today at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, with Pastor Roger Madden officiating. Burial will be in Logan Park Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to www.meyerbroschapels.com.
Marie was born Nov. 3, 1949, in Sioux City, to Hyle and Edna Felix. She attended Central High School.
She married Jon C. Gordon on Feb. 27, 1970. She worked in child care and was a deli manager at Cub Foods.
Marie enjoyed going to bingo and collecting dolls as well as spending lots of time with her great nieces and nephews.
Survivors include her husband, Jon; a son, Jeremy Gordon of Sioux City; two brothers, Ken Felix and his wife, Pat and Bob Felix, all of Sioux City; two sisters, Yvonne "Sis" Felix and Glenda Gritzmaker and her husband, Jerry, all of Sioux City; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hyle and Edna Felix.
Pallbearers will be Landon Gordon, Chad Gritzmaker, Nick Gritzmaker, Joe Felix, Dex Harris and John Johnson.
