Edythe Anders Gohr

Edythe Anders Gohr, 89 of Sioux City, IA passed away Monday, November 30, 2009 at her home.

Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at St. Pauls Lutheran Church with Pastor Kenny Hsu and Chaplain Steve Benson officiating. Burial will be in Logan Park Cemetery. Visitation will be the hour prior to the service at church. Condolences may be sent online to www.meyerbroschapels.com. Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel is handling arrangements.

Edythe was born in Sioux City in 1920. She graduated from Central High School in 1938. Edythe then attended Buena Vista College earning her teaching certificate. In 1941 she married Albert Anders. He died in 1986. She later married Walter Gohr in 1988. He died in 1994.

Survivors are her children, Bruce (Linda) Anders, Julie (Ron) Schmidt, Brian (Valerie) Anders and Carol (James) Ortery; 4 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and special family friends, Kathy Anders and Kathy Anderson.

Memorials may be made in her name to Hospice of Siouxland or the Good Shepherd Hour.
