Lois J. Gilmore

Lois J. Gilmore, 80 of Sioux City passed away on Friday, February 5, 2010 at Sunrise Retirement Community. There will be no local services. Burial of her cremains will be buried at a later date in Andulusia City Cemetery in Andulusia, IL. Memorials may be directed to Apostolic Faith Tabernacle located at 1501 W. 4th St. in Sioux City where she was a member for several years. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Lois was born on January 10, 1930 in Rock Island, IL. She was married to Wallace E. Gilmore on January 24, 1948 in Rock Island, IL. From that union eight children were born, daughter Glenda M. Handley (deceased); daughter Patricia A. Gilmore; daughter Beverly J. (Kenneth) Sinclair of Sioux City; son Rev. Ronald E. (Victoria) Gilmoreof San Diego, CA; daughter Nancy E. Gilmore (deceased); son Rev. Terry W. (Carol) Gilmore of Sioux City; daughter Christine E. (Rev. Brent) Hilterbrand of Des Moines; and a daughter Caroline S. (Rev. Allen) Sweets of Sioux Falls, SD.

Lois was a faithful pianist and loved to teach and minister at her church. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and crafts.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two daughters, a brothers and a sister.
