Rose M. Gerow, 84, of Sergeant Bluff, formerly of Sioux City, died Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2007, at a Sioux City hospital.
Memorial services will be 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Westminster Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Richard Frances officiating. Private graveside services will be in Logan Park Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Saturday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Rose was born Aug. 14, 1922, in Homer, Neb., to Ed and Bessie (Leftwich) Punches. She graduated from Homer High School.
She married Frances "Frank" Gerow on Jan. 22, 1944, in Antigo, Wis. Frank passed away in 1987 in Sioux City. Rose was a homemaker. She enjoyed visiting with and playing cards with friends. She also enjoyed word finds and playing bingo.
She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include a son and his wife, Craig and Susan Gerow of Sioux City; a daughter and her husband, Susan and Jerry Nielsen of Hinton, Iowa; a brother, Bill Punches of Laredo, Texas; and three grandchildren, Kyle and Andrea Nielsen and Colleen Gerow.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sisters, Eva and Gladys; and a brother, John.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Westminster Presbyterian Church.
