SIOUX CITY -- Harold P. Gagnon, 58, of Sioux City died Tuesday, March 16, 2010, at a Sioux City hospital.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel. Military rites will be conducted by the U.S. Army Reserves.
Harold was born April 2, 1951, in Sioux City, the son of Fredrick and Agnes Leila (Brooks) Gagnon. He grew up in the Leeds area and graduated from Leeds High School. He served with the U.S. Army.
He married Joan L. Davis on March 4, 2008, in Sioux City. He was employed with IBP for more than 30 years.
He enjoyed fishing, painting, cane making, bike riding and his pets.
Survivors include his wife, Joan and her daughters, Jessica Loebsack, Jennifer Ross and Julie Nelson, all of Sioux City; Harold's children, Candi Gagnon, Tiffany Gagnon, Christopher Gagnon, Bonnie Gagnon and Fredrick Gagnon, all of Sioux City; his brothers and sisters, Judy (Kenny) Hiens of Sioux City, Fredrick E. (Renee) Gagnon of Sioux City, Lois Barnes of Sioux City, Gary Gagnon of Texas, Ruth Hoffling of Sioux City, Renee Gagnon of Texas, Heather Rollings of Texas, and Tonya LaClaire of Texas; 27 grandchildren; many foster brothers and sisters; and numerous adopted children and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Al; and a sister, LuAnn Gagnon.
