SIOUX CITY -- Charmaine Juvel Gabrielli, 55, of Sioux City passed away Sunday, Nov. 23, 2008, at her residence comforted by her family.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at Nativity Catholic Church, with the Rev. Gerald Feierfeil officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with a vigil service at 7 p.m. followed by a rosary, at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel.
Charmaine was born Oct. 13, 1953, in Sioux City, to Joseph and Lois A. (Blackford) Gabrielli. She graduated from East High School. She then went on to become a licensed practical nurse in the Siouxland area.
She was loved for her nurturing nature, the zest she had for life, the loving mother and friend she was and most of all, for her beautiful sweet eyes and soul.
She is survived by her daughter and her husband, Leticia and James Wilson of Chicago; a son, Seth Modlin of Sioux City; her mother, Lois of Sioux City; her sisters and their husbands, Cynthia and Joe Haag of Omaha and Aurora and Brian White of Virginia; her brothers and their wives, Guy and Donna Gabrielli of Colorado, and Aerin Joseph and Mary Ellen Gabrielli of Virginia; numerous nieces and nephews; a stepdaughter, Tara (whom she shared many laughs and late nights) and her husband, Robert Decker; her beautiful grandchildren, Caleb, Sophie and McKenna (who will forever be "her girl"); her dear friend, Sharon Wilde (whose love gave her great strength); and finally her caregiver, love and best friend, Timothy Cisney of Sioux City (our Saint Timothy for giving our angel wings for so many years through laughter, love and care).
She was preceded in death by her father.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
