Brody Grant Freking

Brody Grant Freking, 14 of Grimes, IA formerly of Sergeant Bluff, IA passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2011 from injuries suffered in a motocross accident in Sedalia, MO. Memorial services for Brody will be on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at Grimes United Methodist Church in Grimes, Iowa and Thursday, March 17, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at Sunnybrook Community Church in Sioux City, IA with Rev. Jeremy Grant officiating at both. Private family burial of his cremains will be at a later date in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Brody was born May 7, 1996 in Sioux City, IA to Chuck and Shelly (Baker) Freking. He attended Sergeant Bluff-Luton Schools from kindergarten thru 3rd grade and 3rd grade thru 9th grade at Dallas Center Grimes Schools.

Brody enjoyed fishing in Canada, playing the guitar, motocross, basketball, boating, and tubing. He especially enjoyed spending time with friends and family.

Brody is survived by his parents Chuck and Shelly and his brother Camden of Grimes, IA; paternal grandmother Betty Freking of LeMars, IA; maternal grandparents E.B. and Sandy Baker of Sergeant Bluff, IA; 14 aunts and uncles, Mary & Rick Juhl of LeMars, IA; Diane & Rick Baack of LeMars, IA; Steve & Cayla Freking of Whitewater, KS; Don Bouma of LeMars, IA; Randy & Lisa Freking of LeMars, IA; Christy & Todd Siders of Castle Rock, CO; Dale & Lise` Freking Inver Grove Heights, MN; Jeff & Annette Freking of Kingsley, IA; Dean & Julie Freking of Milton, MA; Jerry & Rebecca Freking of Fort Washington, MD; Doug & Jennifer Freking of Cumming, IA; Angie & Dennis Meister of Tulsa, OK; John & Carla Baker of Sergeant Bluff, IA; and Shayla Baker of Sioux City, IA; and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Herman Freking, aunt Mary Freking, aunt Linda Bouma, and his great grandparents.
