Eugene, A. Frahm, 70, of Sioux City, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 25, 2009 in the Hospice wing at Indian Hills Nursing and Rehab. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 27, 2009 from 3-8 p.m. with the family present from 6-8 p.m. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 28, 2009 also at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel with Reverend Scott Squires officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Gene was born on May 22, 1938 in Correctionville, IA to Arthur and Marie (Levin) Frahm. He grew up in Correctionville where he attended school and graduated from Correctionville High School in 1957. He then attended Morningside College.

On January 25, 1959, he married Bonnie Kellogg in Correctionville. The couple made their home in Sioux City, where he worked at Wilson Trailer Company for 40 years, retiring as service manager in 2000.

Gene was a member of Crescent Park United Methodist Church. He enjoyed wood working, camping, fishing, remodeling, and bike riding. He loved his children, grandchildren and his dogs Tuffy and Sadie.

Gene is survived by his wife of 50 years, Bonnie Frahm, son Douglas Frahm and wife Susan of Sioux City, 3 daughters, Lisa McCauley of Sioux City, Teresa Granata and husband Layne of San Antonio, TX, and Amy Rohlk and husband Brian of Holstein, IA, 14 grandchildren, 2 brothers, Gerald Frahm and wife Rita of Ida Grove, IA, Dan Frahm and wife Linda of Sioux City, 2 sisters, Leora Eppling and husband Jerry of Le Mars, IA, and Leola Gansko and husband Larry of Sioux Falls, SD.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a granddaughter, Marissa Miller.

Serving as, casket bearers will be Brian Rohlk, Nick McCauley, Austin Miller, Stephen Frahm, Jeffrey Frahm and Griffin McCauley.
