Sharon "Granny" Fox

Sharon R. "Granny" Fox, 63, of North Sioux City died Sunday, July 23, 2006 at her residence after a lengthy battle with ongoing health problems.

Her body was cremated. Family and friends are gathering from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday at her daughter's residence, Brenda and Bill Dailey, 1005 Wynstone Road, Jefferson, S.D. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Sharon was born May 26, 1943 in Sioux City, the daughter of Roy and Daisy (Holder) Orr. She married Michael N. Fox in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He passed away Dec. 29, 2002 in Sioux City.

Sharon was a life-long resident of the McCook Lake, S.D., area. She was a baby-sitter for 21 years. She was an avid garage and rummage sale enthusiast.

Survivors include four daughters, Rhonda (Dave) Lingle of Rapid City, S.D., Brenda (Bill) Dailey, Michelle (Jesse) Minor and Karen Fox, all of Jefferson; 10 grandchildren, Brandon and Brittany Lingle, Rick, Ryan and Ross Dailey, Natasha, Jessica and Denielle Minor and Tisha and Tara Fox; one great-grandchild Xavier, three brothers, George, Raymond and Leo Orr and one sister, Ruth La Fleur.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister Charlotte Maron and two brothers, David and Ken Orr.
