James Lee Filloon, 40, of Sioux City passed away unexpectedly Sunday, Oct. 29, 2006, at a Sioux City hospital.
Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent online to www.meyerbroschapels.com.
James was born Sept. 21, 1966, in Maquoketa, Iowa, to Robert O. and Wanda K. (Welch) Filloon. He married Celeste Brewster on Oct. 17, 1986, in Maquoketa. He worked as a mill loader.
He loved to ride his motorcycle, race stock cars, fish, hunt, trap and play football. He was always willing to help anyone, whether he knew them or not. He never stopped working. He loved his family, friends and his dogs. He made everybody laugh. He lived freely and was a true hero. He was a member of the Eagles Club and ABATE of Iowa.
Survivors include his wife, Celeste M. Filloon of Sioux City; three sons, Bobby Filloon of Sioux City, Chris Filloon and his wife, Jessica of Sioux City and E.J. Bolton and his wife, Amy of Sioux City; two daughters, Kayla Filloon of Sioux City and Adrienne Filloon of Sioux City; a grandson, Colby James Filloon of Sioux City; his mother, Wanda K. Cass of Maquoketa; Grandmother Beulah Darrow of Monticello; four brothers, Robert Filloon of Maquoketa, Mark Filloon and his wife, Jody of Lost Nation, Iowa, Jeremy Chicoine and his wife, Becky of Sioux City and Chad Chicoine and his wife, Missy of Ponca, Neb.; a sister, Machell Filloon-Thola of Maquoketa; and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert O. Filloon; his grandparents; a nephew; and a sister-in-law.
