SIOUX CITY -- Dolores L. Felicioni, 87, of Sioux City died Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2008, at Indian Hills Nursing and Rehab Center.
Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, December 6, 2008 at Wesley United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Merrill Muller officiating. Private graveside services will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Dolores was born June 22, 1921, in Milbank, S.D., to Nathan and Mildred (Gardiner) Watson. She came to Sioux City as a child and attended Sioux City Schools.
She married Reno Felicioni on May 5, 1943, while he was serving in the U.S. Air Force in Midland, Texas. After the service, the couple lived in Lake Bluff, Ill., for seven years before returning to Sioux City. Dolores worked for St. Luke's Hospital for 15 years.
She was confirmed at Wesley United Methodist Church at the age of 13 and was an active member of the church for over 70 years. She also sang in the church choir. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Azure Chapter, for 50 years and the Abu Bekr Shrine Auxiliary and was also a member of Sioux City Women's Choral Group.
Survivors include her husband, Reno of Sioux City; a son, John Felicioni and his wife, Dora of Billings, Mont.; a daughter, Della Brehm and her husband, Conrad of Vinton, Iowa; six grandchildren, Angela "Michelle,", Rosalyn, Joy, Daniel, Randy and Jennifer; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara; her parents; and two brothers, Dale and Don.
