Vincent L. Farley

SIOUX CITY -- Vincent Lester Farley, 92, of Sioux City passed away Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2009, at home.

Mr. Farley has been cremated and there will be no services or visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel.

Vincent was born on Aug. 15, 1916, in Olmsted County, Minn., to Stephen and Louise Farley. He attended school in Rochester, Minn. The family moved to Stewartville, Minn. in 1930.

He married Lucille Wood on March 5, 1938. The couple lived in Rochester, Minn., where he worked for Clements Chevrolet Co. for many years. They had two children, Jerry Vincent and Judy Ann. Judy died in 1942. The family moved to Omaha in 1976 and to Lincoln in 1981. Jerry moved to Sioux City in 1986, and Vincent and Lucille followed soon after. The family has resided on Walden Avenue since moving to Sioux City.

Vincent is survived by a son, Jerry.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille in August 2008.
