Randall A. "Randy" Crombie, 56, of Hubbard passed away Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2007, at his residence following a year's battle with cancer.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hubbard, with the Rev. Paul Albenesius officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. today at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel in Sioux City. Visitation will resume 5 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. and a vigil service at 7 p.m., at the church. Condolences may be sent online to www.meyerbroschapels.com.
Randy was born May 23, 1951, in Yankton, S.D., to Andy and Shirley (Dendinger) Crombie.
He married Mary Hayes on Feb. 13, 1971, in Hubbard. He worked for the Dakota County Roads Department for 22 years and was currently a superintendent for Dakota County Highways.
He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Crombie of Hubbard; his parents, Andy and Shirley Crombie of Wayne, Neb.; a son and his wife, Mark and Karen Crombie of Sioux City; daughters and their husbands, Julie and Josh Divis of Bellevue, Neb., and Joan and Mike Penne of South Sioux City; and grandchildren, Eric and Alex Divis and Devin and Emily Penne.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Pallbearers will be Andy Lux, Bill Rohde, Fred Kellogg, Pat Dorcey, Kevin Heeney and Rich Hoesing.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name may be directed to Hospice of Siouxland or St. Mary's Catholic Church.
