Irma Jean Jacobson was born Feb. 20, 1929, the third daughter at her farm home in Burt County, Neb. She loved music and had a sense of rhythm early in life. Her most enjoyable high school time was music and band. After high school, she was married on Jan. 10, 1948. To that union were born four children, Kathy, Nancy, Kay and Tim.

In October 1966, Christ became her Savior as she knelt at her kitchen table in her farm home. Oliver Greene was preaching on the radio. "I was excited about this new truth in my life and wanted to share it with everyone. I was sure they would be just as glad as I was to learn Jesus loved them and died in their place for their sin. Since that time, Jesus has been with me in every trial -- always near!"

Survivors include four children, Kathy and her husband, Bill Simpson of Greer, S.C., Nancy Yost of Sioux City, Kay and her husband, Barry Hageman of Sioux City and Tim Copple and his wife, Jerrilyn of Andover, Kan.; three sisters, Phyllis and her husband, Clarence Monnich of South Sioux City, Genevieve Hermelbracht of Bancroft, Neb., and Janette and her husband, Robert Muhle of Fremont, Neb.; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
