SIOUX CITY -- Sharon K. Cook, 64, of Sioux City passed away unexpectedly from natural causes on Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010, at a local hospital.
Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Johnny Helton officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, with a luncheon following at 11:30 a.m. at Morningside Assembly of God, 4310 Old Lakeport Road. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
Sharon was born Aug. 1, 1946, in Sioux City, the daughter of Loren and Alice (Livengood) Callendar. She graduated from Central High School. She was a school bus assistant with the Sioux City Community School District for over 20 years. On May 16, 1998, she married Gerald "Gary" Cook. Previously, she was married to Gordon Madison and then Warren Green.
Sharon was a member of the Sioux City Eagles Club. She loved to play bingo, cards and spend time with her family, especially her grandkids.
Survivors include her husband, Gary; a son and his significant other, Rick Callendar and Mari Tarbill of Sioux City; a daughter and her husband, Brenda and Tom Harms of Sergeant Bluff; nine grandchildren, Aeja, Ryker, Rylee, Peyton, Lauren, Tanner, Madison, Brayden, Jaxson and Skylar; a brother, Larry Callendar of Sioux City; two sisters and their husbands, Sandy and Jerry Kilberg and Vicky and Dean Frederick, all of Sioux City; a stepdaughter and her husband, Melissa and Jay List of Watertown, S.D., and their children, Emma, Gabe and Grace; a stepson and his wife, Mike and Christy Cook of Sioux City, and their children, Ethan, Katelynn and Ally; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Kilberg, Tom Harms, Mike Cook, Bill Kilberg, Dean Frederick and Terry Kilberg.
