SOUTH SIOUX CITY -- Carol Conner, 42, of Dyess Air Force Base, Abilene, Texas, formerly of South Sioux City, and St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2010, at Hendrich Medical Center in Abilene, surrounded by her loving family and friends.
Services will be 1 p.m. Monday, November 8, 2010 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Burial will be in Taylor Cemetery, Homer, Neb. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Monday at the funeral home. Online condolences may be sent to www.meyerbroschapels.com.
Carol was born on Nov. 17, 1967, in St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada, to Francis and Maxine (Duffett) Whelan.
She was united in marriage to Scott Conner on Jan. 16, 1998, in Cabot, Ark. She enjoyed spending time with family, camping, fishing and cooking.
Carol is survived by her husband, Scott Conner of Dyess Air Force Base, Abilene, Texas; three sons, Mark, Patrick and Mitchell, all of Abilene; her parents, Francis Whelan and Maxine Whelan; a brother, Francis (Tina) Whelan Jr. and a sister, Linda Whelan (Jim), all of St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Willis and Ethel Duffett; grandfather, Peter Whelan; grandfather, Bill Clarke; aunt, Sheila; and uncles, Lenfield and Boyce.
