Keith E. Collins, 66, of Sioux City died Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2006, at his residence following a sudden illness.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Sandy Aakre officiating. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, with the family present 5 to 8 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the funeral home. Online condolences may be sent to www.meyerbroschapels.com.
Keith was born Aug. 19, 1940, in Malvern, Iowa, to Edward H. and Evelyn M. (Marshall) Collins. The family moved to Coleridge, Neb., in 1946, and Keith graduated from Coleridge High School in 1958. He went to Norfolk, Neb., and attended Norfolk Junior College.
He married Judith J. Siecke on July 3, 1960, in Norfolk. Keith worked for Postal Finance in Norfolk before being transferred to Sioux City in 1965. He worked for Postal Finance, Thorpe & Company Jewelers and then for Charlie Zook Motor for 20 years.
He was a former member of the Masonic Lodge and Abu Bekr Shrine.
Survivors include his wife, Judith of Sioux City; a daughter, Brenda L. Collins and her special friend, Connie Jones of Sioux City; a son, Todd K. Collins of Oklahoma City, Okla.; two brothers, Gene Collins of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Richard Collins and his wife, Myrna of Coleridge, Neb.; and a sister, Claire Swaygnim of Henderson, N.C.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister-in-law, Vera Collins.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mike, Gary and Bruce Collins, Dick Osbahr, Jeff Theis and Claire Jordan.
