SIOUX CITY -- Joseph J. "Joe" Christoffers, 25, of Sioux City passed away Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2010, at his residence following a lengthy illness.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Morningside Assembly of God Church, with the Rev. Johnny Helton officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Condolences may be sent online to meyerbroschapels.com.
Joseph John Luke was born Feb. 22, 1985, in Sioux City. He graduated from North High School I.L.C. in 2005. He then attended Western Iowa Tech Community College in their auto mechanics program.
Joe's passion was working on cars and he had a special interest in Volkswagens. He loved his pets, his cat, Cat, his dog, Creamy and his fish.
He is survived by his mother, Donna Christoffers of Sioux City; his father, Rick Christoffers of Sioux City; six siblings, Michael and his wife, Jamie, Daniel and his wife, Celina, Amanda, Steve and his wife, Sara, Shawn and Brandon Christoffers, all of Sioux City; three stepbrothers, Daniel, Michael and Matthew Trevett, all of Texas; his grandmother, Vivian Christoffers of Pocahontas, Iowa; five nephews, Michael Jr., Matthew, Nathaniel, Ryker and Jayden Christoffers; and a niece on the way.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Lynn A. Trevett; and his grandparents, Harold and Elaine Meier and Kenneth Christoffers.
