SIOUX CITY -- Wallace D. Chapman, 85, of Sioux City passed away Monday, Aug. 30, 2010, at a local hospital.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at St. Paul's Indian Mission, with the Rev. Anne Scissions officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Friday at the mission. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.
Wallace D. Chapman was born July 4, 1925, in Santee, Neb., the son of Rufus and May (Johnson) Chapman. He married Joyce B. Cole on Oct. 24, 1974, in Elk Point, S.D.
Wallace loved to fish and garden. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, Joyce. He also loved his two cats.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce of Sioux City; a sister-in-law, Shirley Thomas of Cherokee, Iowa; and special friend, Jackie Snodgrass.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Robert; and a sister, Omaha.
