SIOUX CITY -- Betty L. (Anderson) Caudill, 89, of Sioux City died Monday, May 17, 2010, at Countryside Retirement Home after suffering a heart attack.
Services will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel, 6200 Morningside Ave., with the Rev. R. Paul Johnston, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Thursday at the funeral home.
Betty was born Feb. 6, 1921, in Sioux City, to Arthur and Norma (Sayrs) Singer. She grew up in Sioux City and graduated from Central High School. She married Leonard Anderson in 1942 in California. He died in January of 1988. She married Norman Caudill on Sept. 11, 1993, in Sioux City. He died Nov. 25, 2005, in Sioux City.
Betty was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church and had been a member all of her life. She enjoyed bowling and fishing. Betty was a Chicago Cubs fan and had belonged to the Missouri River Boat Club. She also enjoyed playing blackjack at the riverboat.
Survivors include three children, Marilyn Susie and her husband, Don of Sioux City, Jerry Anderson and his wife, Carlee of Wichita, Kan., and Kathy Johnson of Sioux City; a son-in-law, Terry Johnson of Walthill, Neb.; seven grandchildren, Kim, Troy, Jeff, Jared, Josh, Jennifer and Kari; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; a brother, Raymond Singer; and a sister, Veda McCullogh.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Gospel Mission.
