Betty L. Casey, 75, of North Sioux City died Sunday, April 29, 2007, at Westwood Nursing and Rehab Center following a brief illness.

Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with the Rev. Craig Collison officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. and a vigil service at 7 p.m., at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Mrs. Casey was born Jan. 14, 1932, in Sioux City, the daughter of Art and Freda (Pence) Soule. She graduated from Hinton (Iowa) High School in 1950.

She married William Casey on Jan. 19, 1952, in Denver, Colo. William passed away July 26, 1996, in Sioux City. She was a homemaker and shared in the operation of her husband's roofing business. After retirement, the couple wintered in Las Vegas for 10 years.

She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, attending luncheons, sewing and crocheting. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a past member of the Moose Lodge and Eagles Club of Sioux City.

Survivors include two sons, Robert L. Casey and his special friend, Denise Powers of North Sioux City and Rick Casey and his wife, Junie of Sioux City; four grandchildren, Brett Casey and his wife, Ashley, Kristin and her husband, John Witkowski, Shannon and her husband, Charles Cox and William Casey; and four great-grandchildren, Callie, Arie, Charlie and Colin.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather, George Hoffman and her husband.
