Elizabeth G. Carlson

SIOUX CITY -- Elizabeth G. Carlson, 93, of Sioux City passed away Monday, May 24, 2010, at a local nursing home.

Services were held Tuesday, June 1, 2010, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, where the Rev. Tess Panamarow officiated. Burial was in Graceland Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel.

Elizabeth was born Dec. 24, 1916, in Sioux City, the daughter of Elmer and Clara Mae (Irwin) Woodward Wise.

She married Oscar Carlson, who preceded her in death in 1969. Elizabeth worked in sales for J.C. Penney and Younkers until retirement.

She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. Elizabeth loved to golf and travel with her sister. She also enjoyed her computer.

Survivors include her brother, Charlie Wise of Hemet, Calif., and several nieces and nephews, too many to name.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; four sisters; and three brothers.
