Stanley M. Cain

SALIX, Iowa -- Stanley M. Cain, 56, of Salix died unexpectedly Dec. 30, 2010, at his residence.

Abiding by his wishes, cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Salix Community Church.

Stanley was born in Sioux City on July 4, 1954. He graduated from Westwood High School and Morningside College with an honorary degree in industrial relations.

Stanley's family and friends will remember him for his talent of composing music and his love of playing the guitar.

He is survived by his son, Dustin and grandson, Austin of Scottsdale, Ariz.; his mother, Martina Cain of Salix; two sisters, Gloria Morningstar of Illinois, and Charlene Gerloff of Indiana; two brothers, Larry of Missouri, and Greg of Florida; five nieces; a nephew; and his former wife and good friend, Charlene Cain of Salix.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clyde M. Cain of Salix.
