LeRoy "Bud" W. Cain

April 14, 1928 — May 3, 2008

LeRoy W. "Bud" Cain, 80, of Sioux City passed away Saturday, May 3, 2008, at Indian Hills Nursing and Rehab Center.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Merrill Muller officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent online to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

LeRoy was born April 14, 1928, in Sioux City, the son of Emil and Beulah (Austin) Cain. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army. He worked for Barber Transportation.

He was a member of the Teamster Union, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. He loved trains. He also enjoyed fishing, camping, dancing, collecting antique cars and driving in parades.

Survivors include his special friend, Arlene Albers of Sioux City; a daughter and her husband, Roberta and Paul Wagner; sisters, Marylou Jorgensen and Rosemarie Underwood; brothers and their wives, Raymond and Mary Cain and Milton and Virginia Cain, all of Sioux City and Leo Cain of Decatur, Ill.; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Melvin Cain.

Pallbearers will be Randy Olsen, Terry Barnes, Tom Kellogg, Rex Cain, Chad Cain and Travis Street.
