Lois L. Busser, 85, of Sioux City, passed away on Sunday, February 3, 2008 at Indian Hills Nursing and Rehab. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 5, 2008 from 3-8 p.m. with the family present from 6-8 p.m. A prayer service will then begin at 7:00 p.m. at Nelson ~ Berger Northside Chapel. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at 11:30 a.m. at Glendale Baptist Church with Reverend Frank Gillett officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Lois was born on October 16, 1922 to Winnie and Mary (Bishop) Boots in Anamosa, Iowa. She grew up in Anamosa and graduated from Anamosa High School. On November 23, 1941, she married Henry Busser in Anamosa. After their marriage the couple moved to Sioux City, where she became a home maker and mother to her children.
In her later years, she enjoyed going to the senior center and walking to Hy-Vee. Lois was a member of Glendale Baptist Church.
She is survived by her two daughters, Ruth Nixon and husband Ray of Pryor, OK, and Dixie Danker and husband Arlon of Sioux City, IA. 7 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 2 great, great grandchildren, A brother, Robert Boots of Cedar Rapids, IA, A sister Doris Hall of Anamosa, IA, A brother-in-law, Leroy Sanders of Tipton, IA, A sister-in-law, Janola Boots of Center Point, IA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 53 years, Henry, 2 sons, John Busser and Henry Busser, Jr. and a granddaughter Kathy Nixon, 2 sisters and 1 brother.
