SIOUX CITY -- Reba K. Browning, 67, of Sioux City passed away Thursday, Oct. 1, 2009, at her home following a brief illness.

There will be no services. There was a private family gathering immediately following her passing. Arrangements were under the direction of Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel.

Reba was born Sept. 4, 1942, in Sioux City, to Arnold and Monica Nielsen. She married James Leo Browning in September 1960.

Her hobbies included painting, sewing and spending much time with family.

Survivors include her husband, James Browning of Sioux City; a son, Dan Browning of Sioux City; three daughters, Mary Browning of Sioux City, Nancy Browning of Coleridge, Neb., and Sandy Redding and grandson, Cameron of Sioux City; a brother, George Nielsen of California; as well as many nieces and nephews and many close friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Gary Nielsen; and a sister, Gail Wessling.

Reba spent her final days in the hands of Hospice, and it was so greatly appreciated by all of the Browning family. Without their services, it would not have been possible. Thank you, Hospice, so much in our time of need.
