Tami L. Brentlinger, 44, of Sioux City died Friday, May 11, 2007, at Indian Hills Nursing and Rehab after a courageous battle with cancer.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Jerry Tullier officiating. Graveside services will follow immediately at East View Cemetery at Allen, Neb. Tami was born Nov. 3, 1962, in Sioux City, the daughter of Larry and Pearl (Bowman) Longwell. She graduated from East High School.
Tami married Steve Brentlinger on July 3, 1996, in Sioux City. She was a lifelong resident of Sioux City. "Big Tami" was a Tweety Bird fan. She loved to laugh and talk on the phone. She also loved animals. Tami was the family barber.
Survivors include her husband, Steve Brentlinger of Sioux City; two sons, Monty Flaugh and Todd Schoenherr, both of Sioux City; a daughter, Megan Schoenherr of Sioux City; six brothers, Danny Longwell, Rick Longwell, Larry Longwell, Mark Longwell and his wife, Dianna, Kelly Longwell and his wife, Tracey, and Nathan Longwell; two sisters, Debra Olson-Walker and her husband, Les, and Bobbie Jo Longwell; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, Darrell Brown Jr.; two sisters, Penny Longwell and Tammy Lynn Elgert; and a nephew, Michael Olson.
Pallbearers will be Rick Longwell, Danny Longwell, Steven Longwell, Dennis Hodges, Pete Hodges, Kyle Hodges and Mike Hughes.
