Johnnie D. Bradley, 52, of Sioux City passed away Saturday, Aug. 9, 2008, at a Sioux City hospital.
Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Matthew Miller officiating. Private family graveside services will be at a later date. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
Johnnie was born Feb. 14, 1956, in Sioux City, the son of Alfred and Beverly (Betsworth) Bradley. He received his education at North High School, graduating with the class of 1974.
He married Nancy Felix on June 7, 1974 in Sioux City. He worked for a few years at IBP before joining the crew at Gateway. He left Gateway about 13 years ago after a disabling accident forced him to leave his shipping/receiving position.
He was quite a musician, loving to play the drums. He also enjoyed fishing and woodworking, but his greatest joy was found in his children and grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Bradley of Sioux City; children and spouses, Sunshine and Jeff Conley of Dakota Dunes, S.D., Matthew Bradley of Sioux City and Courtney and Tom Andersen of Sioux City; his mother, Beverly Bradley of Sioux City; brothers and their wives, Steven and Brenda Bradley of Sioux City, Tim and Lynn Bradley of Los Angeles, Calif., Rod and Nancy Bradley of Denison, Iowa, Randy and Pam Bradley of Omaha and Robert and LeAnn Bradley of Council Bluffs, Iowa; his mother-in-law, Margaret Trometer of Sioux City; and five grandchildren, Piper, Mia, Lexi, Pierce and Laynie, all of Sioux City.
He was preceded in death by his father, Alfred Bradley; an infant brother, Denny; and an infant granddaughter, Maizie.
The family of Johnnie would like to especially thank Cindy Lewin for her personal care given to Johnnie throughout his illness.
