Alfred S. Fritz Bradley, 73, of Sioux City passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2007 at his home with his family at his side. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2007 from 3-8 p.m. with the family present from 6-8 p.m. A prayer service will then begin at 7:00 p.m. at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 24, 2007 also at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Fritz was born February 16, 1933 in Climbing Hill to Herbert and Martha (Smith) Bradley. He grew up in Climbing Hill and Sioux City. He attended school in Sioux City and graduated from Central High School in 1951. On June 10, 1951, Fritz married Beverly Betsworth in Sioux City. Fritz worked at Hawkeye Distribution for 35 years retiring in 1995. Fritz and Beverly enjoyed traveling in the early years and also dancing. He loved Golfing, Bowling, playing cribbage and playing Bingo at Ikes. Fritz loved spending time with his six sons and their families and also with his dog Molly.
Fritz is survived by his wife of 55 years Beverly Bradley, six sons, Steve and wife Brenda Bradley, Johnnie and wife Nancy Bradley both of Sioux City, IA: Tim and wife Lynne Bradley of Alta Loma, CA: Rod and wife Nancy Bradley of Denison, IA: Randy and wife Pamela Bradley of Omaha, NE: and Robert and wife LeeAnn Bradley of Council Bluffs, IA: 18 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. A brother George and wife Harriet of Doon, IA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son Dennis and a great granddaughter Mazie.
