Colleen E. Boyle, 61, of Sioux City died Sunday, Aug. 17, 2008, at her residence following a lengthy illness.
Memorial services will be 7 p.m. today at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel, 6200 Morningside Ave., with the Rev. Karl Luther officiating. Private graveside services will be in Dakota City Cemetery. Colleen was born Jan. 1, 1947, in South Sioux City, the daughter of Earl and Mamie (Koshovich) Haase. She grew up in South Sioux City and attended schools in South Sioux City.
She married Patrick E. Boyle on Jan. 25, 1964, in South Sioux City. He died March 11, 2005, in Sioux City. She worked a total of 31 years at Countryside Senior Living.
Her family was most important to her and she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting and decorating her home.
Survivors include four children, and spouses, Danny and Juanita Boyle of Sioux City, Brenda and Randy Kortum of Sioux City, Cheri and Dave Carmen of Sioux City and Beckie Boyle and her fiance, Travis Duncan of Sioux City; two brothers, Ronnie Haase of South Sioux City and Harlen Haase of California; two sisters, Carol Lohrman of Columbus, Neb., and Char Stinoff of Fargo, N.D.; and nine grandchildren, Michael Boyle, Jeffrey Boyle, Kristina Boyle, Jessica Boyle, Kenneth Kortum, Dwight Kortum, Garrett Kortum, Kendra Duncan and Emily Duncan.
She was preceded in death by her mother; and two brothers, Roger and Merlin Haase.
